Hisense & TCL in Hotels — Hotel Mode, Google TV, VIDAA and Hoteza
Hisense and TCL are now among the world's largest TV makers. With VIDAA and Google TV hotel mode plus the Hoteza guest platform, iBeeQ turns their widely available sets into full hospitality systems.
“Hisense and TCL are consumer brands, not hotel brands.” It is one of the most common — and most outdated — assumptions we hear from hoteliers. Today these are two of the largest TV manufacturers on the planet, and paired with the Hoteza guest platform they are a genuine, often more cost-effective option for guest rooms.
The brands that quietly took over the living room
The picture many hoteliers still carry is a few years out of date. According to market data, Hisense is now the world’s #2 TV brand by shipments, and TCL is consistently among the global top three. Both are number one or two in the fastest-growing segments — large-format screens above 100”, mini-LED and Laser TV.
For a hotel this means one thing: choosing Hisense or TCL is not an experiment. It is hardware with global support, predictable availability and a technology roadmap that matches — and in some segments outpaces — the traditional names.
What makes a consumer TV hotel-ready
A regular retail television is not suitable for a hotel — guests change settings, there is no central management, and the warranty rarely covers commercial use. Two things close that gap on Hisense and TCL:
- Hotel mode — Hisense sets running VIDAA and TCL sets running Google TV include a genuine hotel mode: locked settings and channel tuning, volume limits, a defined start channel and start volume, and control over which features a guest can reach. This is far more than “locking the menu”.
- The Hoteza guest platform — on top of the hardware, iBeeQ deploys Hoteza: a professional welcome screen with the guest’s name, hotel and local information, guest services and a consistent look across every screen in the property. iBeeQ is the exclusive representative of Hoteza in Poland, and we run it internationally for our hospitality clients.
The result is the experience other brands deliver through their own hospitality platforms — at the availability and price of consumer hardware.
Hisense — the widest screen range on the market
Hisense offers the broadest screen-technology line-up in a single portfolio: QLED for standard rooms, ULED mini-LED for bright, glazed interiors, OLED for suites, and Laser TV above 100” for lobbies, conference and wellness areas. Sizes run from 32” to well over 100”. The largest formats and Laser TV are an area where the traditional hospitality ranges simply have no equivalent.
TCL — mini-LED value at scale
TCL is a mini-LED leader with an unusually strong price-to-performance ratio, from compact guest rooms to 98”+ large-format displays. On its Google TV models we deploy the Hoteza guest platform and the full hospitality configuration — the same welcome-screen experience as premium ranges, on hardware that is widely available and easy to budget.
Where this fits — and where it does not
We say this plainly, because it saves everyone time. If your property operates under an international flag — Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Hyatt — the brand’s approved-model list usually decides the television, and Hisense or TCL may not be on it. That is a decision made outside our hands.
Hisense and TCL with Hoteza make the most sense where the owner or director chooses the equipment: independent hotels, regional groups without a fixed hardware standard, resorts, aparthotels and condos, and properties replacing an ageing installation where budget and lead time matter.
An honest note
We do not sell illusions. The panel and chassis come from the consumer line — that is exactly the point. What turns them into a hospitality system is the software layer: VIDAA or Google TV hotel mode, the Hoteza guest platform, fleet configuration and management, and warranty and service terms agreed for commercial use. That is what you pay for — not a different sticker on the back.
