What is a headend station?
A headend station receives broadcast signals — satellite (DVB-S2), terrestrial (DVB-T2) or IP streams — processes and transcodes them, then distributes a clean, legally compliant TV signal to every room. It is the most critical piece of infrastructure in any hotel TV system. Without a correctly configured headend, there is no TV. And no TV means no satisfied guests.

RF headend or IPTV — which is right for your hotel?
RF / DVB headend
Distributes TV signal over coaxial cable. Cost-effective for hotels with existing coax infrastructure. Supports DVB-T2 and DVB-S2 sources. Simple, reliable, proven in thousands of installations.
IPTV headend
Distributes TV over the hotel's IP network (LAN or GPON). Enables interactive features, VOD, PMS integration and room info screens. Future-proof and easy to scale as the hotel grows.
